Ndbs at bagmati river cleaning campaign

On 11th April 2015 (28th Gate Chaitra 2071) NDBS staff, Alumni, parents and students took an active part in the 100th week of Bagmati River cleaning campaign held at Balkumari – Sankhmul area. The campaign commenced by making the Human chain followed by national anthem and oath taking ceremony. Around 8.10 am we began to clean the area especially removing the plastics and other rubbish material around. Lots of people had gathered for this noble cause and the Nepal Army and Police actively co-operated with this cause.

The former Prime Minister Mr Mahdav Kumar Nepal also actively took part in this camping and made a personal interaction with NDBS staff and students and told that Nepal Don Bosco School is always on top and forward for the noble cause. He exhorted the staff and students to keep on the spirit and doing good. He was appreciative of the work and education imparted by the NDBS. Fr Principal Suman Kujur was congratulated by the former PM for the active collaboration for this campaign and doing good to the society. Teachers too had the moment with the former PM. The NDBS staff, alumni, parents and students were proud to be part of this campaign and will actively and willingly take part in this type of Noble cause.

It was a moment for each to be more aware of the harm we do to the environment and the nature around. Each one vouched to keep one’s area clean and dirt free.
